Elves & Pixies, Figurines & Santa's Helpers

Hi Friends ~

The holidays are almost here! Time to dig out all those adorable little red and white knick knacks from the boxes in the attic or basement. Santa's elves play a big role at Christmas, as they keep things flowing smoothly at the jolly man's toy factories during his busiest season. Here are a few pixies and elves from my shop on Etsy, www.allvintageknickknack.etsy.com

This little guy was made in Japan somewhere between the 1920s and the early 1940s. He's covered in glitter from head to toe. He has enchanting hand painted features and a playful pose.  This darling lady below is posed on a log. Perhaps taking a well-deserved break from her duties in Santa's toy shop! She was also made in Japan between the early 1920s and 1940.
Her features were expertly painted by the fabulous Japanese artists. This early piece is indicative of the talented artists that gave each figurine its distinctive porcelain personality.

And last, but not least, this little guy is just full of impish fun! Again, the expression is everything! This is also an early Japanese piece. Age-appropriate wear to the paint just adds to this little man's character. He stands a mere 2" tall.

You can see other elves and pixies by taking a stroll through my knick knack store on Etsy AllVintageKnickKnack.etsy.com

Until next time, friends...
